In the current industrial field, when using analog-to-digital conversion or digital-to-analog conversion, most of them do not use only the standard -10V~+10V, 0~20mA input characteristics, but the actual voltage and current values. To make process requirements, then the AD or DA module should be biased and gained. The following is based on A1S64AD.

(1) Offset and gain settings

According to the above process, the range can be set within the user's actual range by offset and gain, but be careful not to exceed the voltage -10V~+10V, the total range of current 0Ma~20mA regardless of the custom range. Otherwise the module will be damaged. (In addition, when doing bias gain, plc should be in STOP state)

(2) programming process

(a) AD conversion allows, prohibits setting

(b) Resolution setting (normally the default resolution is 1/4000)

(c) Average processing / sampling processing

This item is determined according to the actual process requirements.

(d) Digital output value

The output value after AD conversion is stored in the buffer address 10~13 by channel, the digital output value is binary with 16-bit symbol, and the resolution is set to -4096~4095 at 1/4000. It is -8192~8191 at 1/8000 and -12288~12287 at 1/12000.

(3) Programming

Through the above procedures and settings, the digital value after AD conversion within the user range can be realized.
