Design overview The PMP7966 is a four-phase boost converter with a nominal output of 52V at an input voltage of 6V to 42V and a current of 2.5A. The design uses the LM5122 boost controller with a switching frequency of 100kHz per phase, resulting in 400kHz input and output ripple. Each phase is output with a 680μF aluminum electrolytic capacitor that provides a hold time to support large transient currents.
